About me
Who am I?
My name is Isac, I’m a 27 year old UX/UI-designer and frontend developer who loves to create beautiful, user friendly and accessible interfaces. I also enjoy drinking way too much coffee, spending far too many hours playing video games and investing an unhealthy amount of emotions into sports.
Why UX?
Short answer? It makes me happy. Long answer? One of my biggest interests in life is architecture. Now I could never (or even wanted to) be a real architect myself, however I consider UX/UI-design to be a kind of architecture. A person or a company's website is their home, and I want to build their dream house.
I am also intrigued by the psychological aspect of it. Like anything can visually look nice but how do we make it look nice by also, I don’t know, keeping Hick’s Law in mind? Those type of challenges really stimulates my brain.
And why Frontend?
I like writing code and it stimulates my brain to try and build out what I've designed. My core stack is React.js, Next.js, Node.js and MongoDB. I prefer writing my own CSS (or Sass) but my framework of preference would be Tailwind CSS.
As for page builders I'm familliar with a few. Webflow and Wordpress for example. Lately I've really come to enjoy Framer as well!
My future
I want to become a KICK-ASS good UX-Designer and frontend developer and I feel like I’m on my way! This is what I’m passionate about and truly is my calling in life.
Eventually I also want to lead design and developer teams and be a mentor for up and coming designers and developers who in a few years are where I am right now. Would also like to inspire people by creating content in some way.
Otuside the office
Sports in general - football, ice hockey and racing in particular. I’m a huge fan of, and practically raised on Batman, Spider-Man, Harry Potter, LOTR and Star Wars. I love the snow, I'd go skiing every day if I could. I also enjoy making food and baking stuff - especially trying new recepies. My favourite ways to relax is playing video games or shooting the bow. I would one day like to live somewhere in the snowy so I can go skiing every day!
